Reward treats are usually used during dog training to teach your puppy or adult dog certain behaviours. Your four-legged friend must learn to carry out commands he does not yet know such as : sit, lie down, stay, learn to walk on the lead, etc. Often your companion is rather easily distracted and the challenge is to get the dog's attention. Here, reward treats can be an excellent tool.
First of all, it is very important to look for the right treat to reward your dog with during training. Your four-legged friend must be motivated by the treats to perform the task well. Otherwise, they are worthless for training. It is also not about giving your dog a lot to eat during training, but about nose temptation. So preferably use rewards that are quite small.
